Tuesday

Today was the dreaded day at the doctor's office. Both Tyler and James had check-up appointments. Tyler ended up getting two shots and having to have blood drawn and James got two shots also. It was as bad as I thought it would be. We were back in that little room for 1 1/2 hours and that is a long time with a two year old.
We got home at 4:00 and the goal was to keep James awake until at least 6:30. He had not had a nap all day and I knew if he went to sleep then it would be very late before he would be ready for bed. Well, Rebekah called and I got busy talking to her and putting away clothes. When I walked through the den this is what I found.

I tried to wake him up, quickly realized that was not going to happen, and then laid him on the couch. I thought I would let him sleep for about an hour. The kids would walk through and rearrange him like a stuffed animal and he slept through the whole thing. Evidently driving your mother crazy by touching every possible germy surface in a doctor's office and then screaming from the shots for a very long time makes a boy REALLY tired.

Nana and Aunt Sister~ this one is for you!

  5. That's HILARIOUS!!! My child has never slept that deeply. Too cute! But I do feel for you on the bedtime thing. Hopefully he got to bed at a decent time?

  6. Well, it was a little later than usual, but not too bad. Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving special came on last night so he watched that with the big kids. And then off to bed with no problems. He was pretty worn out!
