Oh no! Not the nap! I was so lucky that my oldest took one until Kindergarten but A. stopped around three. It meant bedtime often came at around. . . mmm. . . 6:30pm? Really. She needs her sleep! I wish you the best of luck!
Rachel, that's the thought I am holding on to. And it isn't as though he is a problem when he is up, but those two hours are precious time for getting bills paid, fridges cleaned out, etc that are hard to do with a toddler around. I think I may require him to run some laps in the morning. Would that make me a bad mom?
My Joshua is almost 2, and he is hardly even nodding off to sleep these days...ugh. Maybe you can try "quiet time" or "room time." We used to love room time, the kids played quietly and I napped! That doesn't work now, though, we have all 4 kids in one room...
Welcome from MamaHen! I am a grilled-cheese slinging, mini-van-driving, singing and dancing Mama. PappaRooster and I are parents to our four chicks who keep us on our toes. Come join us at Casa De La Chaos as I bravely fight all things messy. We laugh a lot and love even more.

ReplyDeleteWhen naps doesn't happen anymore, it is REST TIME for everyone. Everyone lies down and you pray that little one falls asleep.
