A GiveAway!

Welcome to Great Curriculum Cleanout! For the next two weeks I will be participating the The Great Curriculum Cleanout over at Homeschool Creations.

I am offering these books:

1) The Usbourne Internet-linked First Encyclopedia of Seas and Oceans. (a 61-page great reference book)

2)Don't Know Much About The Presidents (64 page book about all the presidents through George W. Bush)

3) Notebook Reference Science Fact Book for Grades 4-8 (144 pages of great science facts and references)

All you have to do to enter is leave me a comment telling me what your favorite subject to teach is. Or is you don't homeschool, tell me what your favorite subject in school was. Please leave me a way to contact you!

  4. I like teaching math. Of course, it was just preschool math last year. However, I really enjoyed watching my daughter learn how to use manipulatives for counting, making patterns, sorting, adding, etc. It's so great to see your child learn right in front of you!

  7. Not a homeschooler, but I enjoy working with K- on phonics. She seems to be doing so well with them. Just today she was telling me that she'll be voting in September, even though her friend was convinced that we wouldn't be at all. Hee! Hee! All that presidential stuff last year did stick, too!

  17. I love to read with my kids (homeschooling preschool, currently). We don't really teach subjects, just try to learn lots of interesting things. My kids also love these types of reference books to look through and ask questions.

  28. We love reference books and these look like they have some good information in them. I love teaching my kids how to read and watching them sound out the words and seeing them get excited when they realize they know what a word says when we read stories together.

    My kids would LOVE these books. Both kids love learning about marine mammals. My daughter is a science buff, and my son just recently became obsessed with learning about the presidents. Great giveaway!

    I'm coming back to the US and would love to have some resources. My little one loves the ocean and we have NEVER studied the US Presidents because we've never lived in the US until now.

    This would be such a blessing as we don't know much about homeschool resources. Usborne sounds great!

    I love teaching absolutely everything, my favorite is creative writing.

  44. We would love to win the Usbourne Encyclopedia. We love all of their books. My favorite subject to teach is social studies/history. It is really fun to make it hands on and incorporate stories and art projects.

  58. I like teaching the subjects that I didn't really enjoy as a child -- history for one. But then again, I also like teaching the subjects that I did enjoy--math and science!
