Just Thinking Out Loud

1. I made Pioneer's Woman Cajun Chicken Pasta. Oh.my.goodness. Deliciouso! It got 4 out of 6 good reviews in my house and that might be a record. (And I didn't give any to James because it was super-spicy. Don't worry, he had something else, Nana.) It was very very spicy, so next time I am going to tone down the cajun seasoning some. But, oh yum. If you like pasta, thick creamy sauces, and a little heat you will be in heaven.

2. No news on Baby Clark. My heart has been at so much more peace about this process. I don't know why it is taking so long, but God does so. I remember my best friend Rebekah telling me that God's timing was His perfect gift to me. It will all happen in the perfect time for us and for the baby. But, oh, my arms can't wait to hold him/her. I even dream about the baby.

3. James has officially given up his afternoon nap and henceforth the hours between 4:30 and 6:30 will be known as, "The Witching Hour", "Torture Time", or "Tyler-call Daddy and tell him to bring home chocolate Hour". He gets so tired during that time, but if I let him go to sleep that late he will be up till midnight. So we tough it out until Mark gets home and then he suddenly gets a second wind and turns back into his sweet little self. Imagine that.

Okay, that's all. Do you have any thoughts to share out loud with me?

  3. When my kids dropped their nap, I actually put them to bed at 6pm. I know. That's terrible!

I might have to try that recipe. I think my hubs would LOVE it!

And your friend is right. God's timing IS perfect timing. :)

  6. I've heard so many good things about the pioneer woman cookbook, it is the next book I plan to buy. Can't wait to browse through it...
It's been a loooong time, since my girls napped. Our oldest actually stopped when she was only two. They did go to bed very early then, I remember them being in bed by 6:30.

  9. It is useful to try everything in practise anyway and I like that here it's always possible to find something new. :)
