Sorry...(said in a meek and humble voice)

I am so sorry if I offended anyone about the Christmas lights thing. I was "unwell" as Jayme says, and I was in an ill mood. Instead of keeping my trap shut I just went and on and on. While out driving I saw houses where the lights were blazing in the daytime and for some reason it just made me mad. Of all the things to get mad about!

If it makes you feel any better you can know I wore two different earrings to Bible Study Thursday. Yes I did.

And last Sunday I had to make some returns to the dreaded Wal-mart (but they ended up being worth $74, so definitely worth the hassle). I had all four kiddos with me, cause Mark was still in flu-recovery mode, and as the lady at the front was going through the box to mark each item, she pulled out a pair of unmentionables. Yes she did. And I died a thousand embarrassing deaths and quickly grabbed them and stuffed them in my purse.

I have no idea how they got into the box full of children's clothes. Those things just happen to me.

Apparently we are going to have snow for the next couple of days. And supposedly it is not the sweet fluffy snow we got on Christmas Day where everyone ohhed and awwed. It is supposed to knock out electricity. Which means no heat or cooking. So, I am washing all our clothes today and cooking as much as I can. Mark has a little Coleman stove we can warm things up with. Tomorrow I will finally (hopefully) get some school plans nailed down so we can get back to work! I think even I am forgetting my multiplication tables!!!!!

  1. About the decorations thing... I was going to add that the Epiphany on Jan 6 marks the end of decorations at our house- On Thursday morning the last decorations we had out, got put away. That was our outdoor Nativity and a Bethelhem star that was lit above it-

I love that your Southern speak falls out into the blog!

Hope the storms aren't too bad for you this go around.

  3. You and Jill have great WM return stories (taking back the toaster that ended up being peanut butter, is what I am thinking about!)!

  4. I can't believe I didn't notice you had on 2 different earrings - especially since you had your hair pulled back!

  6. I cannot believe that about the unmentionables in the returns! How did I not know about this? Oh. My. Goodness. That is awful and hilarious all at the same time! However I guess $74 is worth it. ;)

Glad to know I;m not the only one who hasn't done school. We went right up to the 23rd, but haven't started back. I did get ready today though.

  9. Oh my word, you cracked me up. The last post and today's.

I say it's a good thing you had all four kids with you when the unmentionables showed up in your return. Prolly that nice WM lady thought one of your children stashed them there ;).

  10. Sweetie - my next door neighbor leaves the Christmas icicle lights up all year. Gives us something to talk about, and yell at him about, and tease him about, and then just laugh at. And let's discuss these "unmentionables". Are we talking "granny-style" or "ooh-la-la"?
