A Note To My Dear Dear Mother....

Dear Dear Mother,

I would like to publicly apologize for my growing up years between the ages of 10 and 15. I realize now how hard it must have been to live with me as I thought I knew everything about everything and everybody. I knew how to raise children better, how to keep house better, and well, everything really. Bless my little heart, and yours too, because I now know I knew how to do absolutely nothing.

As I now have a child between the ages of 10 and 15 who thinks they know everything too and has no problem vocalizing their thoughts to me I think upon you. And how it must have taken all your self-composure and patience not to knock me into the next tomorrow or scream. Or do both.

You are a women of great patience and wisdom. You survived a child who thought she knew everything, but really knew very little. And you let said child survive.

Sincerely,

The Daughter Who Used To Know Everything And Made It A Point To Tell You So Daily.

PS. Please forgive me. :)

  1. Don't worry. She was lucky to have me right on your heels - and I really did know everything!

  2. LOL!

Can we enlarge this age group to about 4 - 18?

  3. At least I'm not the only one going through this. My children believe they know everything, too. :-)

  4. Tell them to move out and live on their own now, while they still know everything.

  5. I am not looking forward to that age. I should go ahead and start apologizing to everyone I know.
