Today we went to my very best-friend-in-the-whole-world's house and had our annual Literature Day. Basically, all the kids read a book and then give an oral book report or presentation about it. Two other families met with us and together we had 19 children there! It was loud, but all the kids got along really well.
My oldest children did the book, Farmer Boy. I had been reading it out loud to them and we finished it the day before. They each told what they liked or didn't like about the book and then they acted out two scenes from the book. They did a great job and I was very proud of them.
James just ran around and looked cute. He was very loud also and thought he was just as big as the other kids. We had yummy taco salad for lunch and after the presentations we cut two watermelons straight from our garden.
We came home and played outside for awhile. Mark got home before dark so he was there too. Everything was good until Matt got stung by a red wasp. Those hurt so bad! I had gotten stung on Tuesday and my arm is still sore today. I feel so bad for him. We are in now and settling down for bedtime. I am so glad tomorrow is Saturday and we don't have any big plans. Hopefully it will be a weekend of rest.

We had a blast today! The drama in the first skit was superb! One of my favorite scenes, too!
