Sunglasses

I have issues with sunglasses. I can't keep them. I either lose them, stretch them out, or scratch them. I love them though. Of course for keeping the sun out of my eyes, but also to pull my hair back. For some reason, my hair will look good with sunglasses holding it back, but not a headband. But, I digress. I just buy the cheap ones from the Dollar Store because I know they won't be around long. But today Abbie and I were in Walmart and I splurged on some for $7.88. Woo-Hoo! Call InStyle Magazine, because I was stylin. Our at least I thought I was.

Abbie got some hot pink sunglasses with pink tinted frames and she was wearing them around the house. I pulled mine down and said "Abbie, do I look good in my glasses?" I sort of posed a little bit. She looked and looked and finally said in very quiet voice, "Well, you look different."

I guess that's something.

  1. I love sunglasses too! Unfortunately, I seem to break them alllllllllllll the time. Doesn't matter if I splurge on them or not. Last summer, I bought 3 nice pair of sunglasses. I just broke the last pair this week! So, let's have issues with sunglasses together, huh? lol!

BOTH of you were TOTALLY hot. Mostly because it was 1000 degrees, but hot nonetheless.....

  5. I bet you looked fabulous! She's still young and learning. ;-) When mine say something like that I think, "This is coming from someone who just learned to tie her shoes. . ." :-)

  6. Funny! But I'm sure you looked so much more stylish than I do in my new (drum roll!) PROGRESSIVE BIFOCALS! I have no idea what it is like to shop for sunglasses anymore, because my vision is so bad that it costs extra to get my lenses made. I just added the "transitions" to my new bifocals for about $50 and was glad I wasn't going to have to spend $300 or $400 for prescription sunglasses on top of $400+ for the bifocals!

  7. I feel the same way about sunglasses versus headbands. I wonder why that is?

I wear prescription sunglasses, so once a year I get to pick out a new pair. It's soooo hard to find some that are stylish but classic. Oh to pick the $8 pair from the rack and be trendy!

  8. My goodness..so glad to know it isn't just me that can't seem to keep a pair of sunglasses! Really! I also buy from the Dollar Store for that very reason. Enjoy high-stylin' in your new shades!
