The Name Of My Blog Should Just Be "James Asleep"

James fell asleep on the way home from Bible Study today and I just laid him on the couch hoping he would stay asleep. He did and as I looked at him I thought (for the 1,000th time) I don't want to forget this. So I took this picture. And then I noticed his hands. He still has those baby dimples on his hands. I just about cried looking at those little hand dimples. Sometimes the wonder of it is too much. That God created this child and then is letting me raise him and love him and kiss those dimpled hands.

He stays up later now and so he is with us when we do our Nightly Prayers. He holds his little hands together and mumbles for quite a bit and then yells real loud, "AMEN!!!!" And then he looks around and waits for us to cheer and clap for him. He's pretty rotten and I don't think it's going to get any better.

We had piano lessons this afternoon and then I came home and started to clean the kitchen. I think the cats are messing it up when we leave. They are also messing up the kid's rooms and the bathrooms. Does anyone else have this problem with their cats?

I guess I will break down and go the doctor in the morning. I am guessing I have a sinus infection bc the headache will not go away. Nothing like Monday night, but just annoying now. And both ears hurt a little. I hate to be gone in the morning though bc it messes us up with school, but that's the good thing about homeschooling~you've got all day to get it done.

Okay, I'm boring myself and I've got to go clean the kitchen up from supper and then mop. I wonder how many posts I've ended with "mop." I promise I do more than that. And as much as I do it you would think it would look clean everyonce in awhile!

  1. Oh the sweetness of a baby sleeping. And in my book, they are a baby until those dimples go away, which always takes me by surprise the day I notice they are gone. It's the saddest of the milestones for me :)

  3. Yes, these days do pass quickly, don't they? Give those little dimpled hands a kiss goodnight and say a prayer . . . Thanks for sharing.

  5. He might be cute, but he laughs like a demented old man. Oh alright, even THAT is cute.
Go see the MD and get some treatment, sister.
