Heard around here today...

This morning I was telling the children the Bible Story about the two travellers meeting Jesus on the road to Emmamus. I asked the kids what did they think the two men thought when they realized it was the resurrected Jesus they were talking to. Abbie said, I'm sure it was very emotionally truamatic for them." After I had mentally composed myself I agreed that yes indeed, it probably was very emotional truamatic for them.

Later, I was reading James his naptime book and rocking him while singing his little songs to him. Abbie and Matt had been holed up in Abbie's room for quite some time together. I was busy singing when Abbie poked her head out her door and said, "Mom, don't worry about things if you hear a giant KA-BOOM."

So far, so good around here though. (I did check after I put James to bed and there were no expoding devices I could see. Actually, they were sitting in the floor together and Matt is reading Aseop's Fables to Abbie. It is very sweet and I'm so glad he is not teaching her to build an exploding volcano or something. ) I'm still not sure what the KA-BOOM was all about.

  2. That is so funny. Do you keep a notebook of the funny things your kids say? I want to do that when Christopher starts talking

  6. I never get tired of hearing the funny/quirky/interesting things that kids come up with. I'm sure the word KA BOOM would have given me a hive. Or two.
