It Is Finished!!!

Last night I finished our profile for our homestudy to get our new baby girl. We will have to meet with our social worker one more time and then she will write the homestudy, but my part is done (except for paying for the sweet little thing)! I had no idea it would take me so long to finish the profile. It is basically a scrapbook of our family the birthmother can look at. At our agency the birthmother/birthparents picks us. It was emotional for me in that we had to write a letter to the birthmother/birthparents and my goodness, how do you do that? To try to put into words a thank you for giving us the greatest gift she ever could. I will not have any idea what the birthmother will be going through when she sees our profile so it is hard to know what to write. We will always be connected to her through our daughter and it can feel overwhelming at times. Also, I want everything to be "just right" so I have a hard time making decisions about the wording and deciding which pictures to put in. BUT, it is done now!

  3. What a beautiful, beautiful family you have. It honestly brings tears to my eyes to see you all around the empty stroller, just waiting for your baby girl. I continue to pray for you and the birth mother.

You look like you are about 23 years old. I'm not kidding. You look so young. I know you're younger than me, but do you have to rub it in?
