I finished Pride and Prejudice. Now, for the movie. Oh my, oh my. A great story. I had to reread several of the passages to try to figure out the aristocratic (is that the right word?) language, but it was so good. I'm so glad I have my own Mr. Darcy. He's really handsome. And smart, and kind, and sweet, and funny. I just KNOW he will watch the movie with me. Won't you honey? Sweetie pie?
We are finishing up school. Just next week and then we are done for this calendar year. I am going to do math, Bible, and science starting in July, but we will have June for a break. Not sure how much of a break the kids will have though. One week is VBS. The next week is Matt's summer day camp, and the next week is Tyler's summer camp. James and I are going to hang out together and watch everyone else run around. Well, I'm helping with VBS, but I have a very small role in that. I am a helper in the three year old class. Which basically means I get to sit and talk with three year olds for a couple of hours. I can handle that.
Well, got to get going, I have our end of the year school meeting tonight. Rebekah will be there and I hope we can focus and pay attention. Sometimes we talk and miss things. Just sometimes though :). It's a good thing we didn't go to high school together.

I need to reread Pride and Prejudice. I read it in college, but I am sure I did not appreciate it then. Thank you for your encouraging words. They really meant so much ! I need a little encouragement every now and then. Well, who am I kidding - all the time !

ReplyDeleteOooohhh, just wait until you see the movie. I love the book and movie and it makes me feel better that you had to reread some, too. There are 2 movies - Masterpiece Theatre production and Keira Knightley one - both good.
ReplyDeleteAlso, please - famous last words..."I can handle that" - please remember these are 3 year olds, they can overpower you in an instant.
If you loved the book that much...you are in for a true treat with the movie - a little easier to "catch on" to the language...and so fun to put a name to the character!!

Watch the older version first, I didn't enjoy the keira knightly one as much as the older one. :) Glad you liked the book!
