Thanks for posting that. I read it and had my hubby read it, too. He enjoyed the laugh! I'm not sure your hubby would like my biscuits, though. They either involve real butter and buttermilk or (hubby's favorite)--real whipping cream and sour cream from a recipe in The Farmhouse Cookbook. We keep our "hog lard" in a coffee mug for tenderizing tough cuts of venison!
Loved that post! My one area of cooking pride is that I can make biscuits that will make you want to slap your mama their so good. (If I do say so myself) ;)
Welcome from MamaHen! I am a grilled-cheese slinging, mini-van-driving, singing and dancing Mama. PappaRooster and I are parents to our four chicks who keep us on our toes. Come join us at Casa De La Chaos as I bravely fight all things messy. We laugh a lot and love even more.
I saw that! How cool!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great story. It sounds like something you would hear on NPR. And reminds me of my childhood.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed that post ! I read it to my mother-in-law the other day while I watched her make home-made biscuits. She loved it too !
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me post it, P.R.!
