Unreasonable?

Now, I know without a fact I am not a perfect mother. Not even close. Some days you might say I am a borderline "good" mother. I have those days when I just want to send the kids outside and I sit and read all day. But, normally I think I do a pretty good job. Everyone is fed, clothed, and pretty happy throughout the day. But I have a toddler who thinks I am a completely unreasonable mother because I won't let him take his nap in this..

(the box of pears I have been peeling and slicing today)

Because I was being so unreasonable Sweet Baby James had a face that looked like this...

(notice all the dirt on his hands, face, and shirt as I have been so mean as to let him play outside all morning, I mean really, how much more can the child handle?)

(Insert Heavy Sarcasm Here)

So, dear Internet friends, tell me, am I doing him wrong? James wants to know.

  2. Now James, those pears don't really look all that comfortable. But at 3 AM in the middle of the night when your new friend is awake and keeping ME awake, I think I could fall asleep in a box of pears, too. ;-)

And Wendy, you are the greatest!

  6. Mama Hen, you are a great mom! All my kids get that expression on their faces too! Especially in those toddler and preschool years when they want to get into all sorts of crazy mischief they have no business getting into! They will get over it. :)
