Tuesday

The past weekend and few days were pretty busy. Family in and out (hi Katie and Joel), firework displays, Christmas carols, office parties, cookie-making, and then just normal kid and home stuff. Did you know laundry multiplies three times the normal amount when it is Christmas week? Its true.

But, my fridge is still clean and I am counting that as a personal victory and an early Christmas present to myself. By the end of the day my bathrooms with be sparkling and all children will have to go outside in an effort to keep them (the bathrooms, not the kids~they will need to be cleaned before Christmas Day) clean until Christmas Day. Just kidding. Sort of.

I would love to get the kids closets cleaned out today also, but thats probably not going to happen. You can open the fridge all you want, but beware about the kid's closets. Something might fall on you. So not kidding.

James was not too excited about being at the nursing home last night. This is him dragging my purse away and saying, "Lets go home Momma." Over and over and over and over and over.

Yesterday I found this. James strikes again. And this are the good Lindt chocolates. And yes, he was sugared up. But he did have a sugar crash and took a good nap.

The weather was nice yesterday and the kids had fun playing outside. It was cool, but not coat weather.

Hope you all have a lovely Tuesday.

  1. I'm so sorry we missed the caroling last night. We had the last of our chocolates to deliver, my husband is hip-deep in grading, plus we had a friend's Christmas party to attend. We opted to drive 5 minutes down the road rather than get in that awful traffic across town! I'm so glad you had fun and thanks for sharing the photos!

My kids got all sugared up yesterday at the Christmas party, too. Cookies, fudge, Chex mix, punch, and then a little fresh fruit came out at the end. Way too much sugar at 4:15-5:30 PM. Some of mine barely ate dinner after that! Maybe you should hide those chocolates from James?

Well, need to send mine outside for a while too, while we have this nice weather. Enjoy this week--sugared up kids and all!

  3. Closets should NOT be cleaned the week of Christmas!

At least that's what I'm sayin', because I feel horribly guilty about the state of mine.

I bet your kids are getting SOOO excited!!!
