Homemaking Heads Up #174

If...
you have two big boys and one little boy who can't seem to manage to get a good aim INTO the potty (although the two big boys have both managed to get a good enough aim to earn a Sharp-Shooter badge in Scouts)
AND
you have a very dirty bathroom because of this
AND
you think to yourself, "I will make a mixture of bleach and water to spray around the toilet so that it will get disinfected and to hopefully get it clean,"
AND
you mix it up, use it, and then put it under your sink;
PLEASE
be sure that the said bottle is standing upright when you leave.
BECAUSE
next time you go to grab the bottle and apply the bleach to the toilet
YOU MIGHT
realize that the bleach water has corroded off the top and when you tip the bottle to spray it
YOU MIGHT
end up with a bigger mess than you started with.

Just thought you might want to know.

  2. Oh, no. I am afraid to ask! Were there clothes involved? Clothes are ALWAYS involved when I have an accident with bleach. It never fails. And it's usually a favorite.

  4. Well thanks for the warning! And if you like to use bleach in the laundry room and keep it in a spray bottle so it makes life easier to use it, you might want to make sure the spray bottle is NOT an old recycled bottle of a Spray and Wash. And you might want to make sure you know this BEFORE you spray the bottle of Spray and Wash all over your favorite shirt that just got covered in some sort of something and you leave this shirt to "soak" over night so when you wash it in the morning all the stains will come out. I'm just saying you might want to LABEL the bottle with the word BLEACH on it. I'm just saying, MOM.

Yes, my mom had a bottle of bleach in an old Spray and Wash bottle and YES,I ruined my favorite shirt a few years ago.

  7. Sorry, Mama Hen! Can you believe that our boys are content to learn to potty sitting down? It makes for fewer messes. ;)
