You think, "This will be okay, I will just make lemonade." But then you realize you are out of sugar.
Just kidding. Sorta.
This morning did not exactly go as planned, but amazingly I got more done than I anticipated. A certain kiddo of mine who shall remain unnamed~but he is my second-born~was pulling something out of the freezer. Not sure why now, but he did and it unsettled all my strategically placed frozen items. You see, only I knew what could be moved and what couldn't. Which is why I pretty much just leave that freezer alone and just use the big one. I know, L.A.Z.Y.
Anyway, he evidently removed the cornerstone of my freezer and like the walls of Jericho, it all came tumbling down. As in all four shelves in my side-by-side collapsed on top of each other and all the food came tumbling out. So, even though I had just started with Tyler on school, I decided the best thing to do was to go ahead and clean the thing out. So I did. And it really didn't take that long. And I now know what is in that freezer and if I want that food it is completely accessible. Score one for the MamaHen.
I also schooled the three kiddos, walked just one mile with Tyler, paid the bills (boo-hiss), and did a load of laundry. The boys and I even decided (well, I decided, but they were amazingly on board) to give their room a quick 15 minute clean-up together. And we got so much done!
So, supper to go and then to fold the laundry. Then the tiredness will hit me and I will go to read in bed and be asleep in approximately 3 minutes.

Wow, sounds like a really productive day!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you did make lemonade after all! I'd love to get that much done on a "bad day"!!
ReplyDeleteYou go girl!
ReplyDeleteSounds INCREDIBLY productive!
ReplyDeleteI'm impressed! You did good to turn that into a productive thing. My tendency would have been to have shoved it in as fast as possible, which would have been more fragile than before.
