MamaHen Clucks "Help!!!"

This summer has been different for us here at the Old Clark Homestead. Nothing too terrible has happened, but we have had many small things that are all adding up. And they are adding up to stress here at my house. As a Christian I know it should not be that way. I know everything is for our good and for His glory. But as a human who battles the flesh daily it has been stressful.

Money issues, the lightening strike and its impending damage, my mom's health, my mother-in-law's health, starting school, and now I have to have some dental work done. Joy. Questions about adoption and what God has planned for our family have followed us all summer.

There is a family whose blog I follow who are also having lots of questions right now. I promise this will not become an adoption fund-raising blog (not that there's anything wrong with that), but if you would, please go to Room For More, and read this family's story. They are in the process of adopting two Down Syndrome children from the Ukraine. If these girls do not get adopted soon they have NO HOPE for life. NO HOPE. There will be no second chance, they will be put into a mental institution to die when they turn four years old. The Parker family needs to raise $10,000 NOW. They already have a large family and so far they have raised $28,000. They want to save these girl's lives. And I do too. If I could send them all the money I would, right now.

I completely understand if you can't give right now. We were able to give a little, not enough to really make a difference even. But, if a whole bunch of people give a little it will make a HUGE difference. But please go and read their story and see how hard this family has fought for these girls. And pray for them. Pray that their strength will be restored. Pray for their girls. I can't stop thinking about them.

  2. Thank you so much for sharing about my family. I know that I know that I KNOW God can do anything... and if what He wants is to move on the hearts of 2,000 people to give $5 each, He will.

Thank you for caring about my family and for wanting to help us get our girls home. My heart is completely touched by your post. (((HUGS)))
