Monday's Giveaway!

Now how is that for a clever title? :)

It is January 31. Which means several things at my house. Number 1: "Where did this month go as far as all my new year plans?" and Number 2: It is payday and if I don't find a way to get out and buy some groceries I am going to have a mutiny on my hands. Since none of my kiddos can drive I'm not sure how they will leave ship, but they are a pretty smart bunch so we'll see.

My James is sick again. Fever. We had to leave church yesterday because he started running fever there. He has been up since 4:30 this morning, but now he has fallen asleep on the couch after a marathon viewing of Blue's Clues.

Well, ya'll know I love to read. I have a lot, and I mean a lot, of books in my house. And I am good with that. I enjoy re-reading a good book just as much as reading it the first time. But...we are overflowing here. So I thought I would share some of my favorite books with you. Today is The Secret, by Beverly Lewis.

I love me some Beverly Lewis. She writes fiction books about the Amish. But it is the characters that she writes so well about. You can get totally lost in the storyline and as she usually writes her books in a trilogy form it is soooo hard to wait for the next one to come out.

This is Book One of The Seasons of Grace series and I really hope you will enjoy it!

This is not a new book, I have read it once, but it is in great condition.

There are four ways to enter:

1) Just leave a comment saying you want to enter.
2) If you follow my blog or sign up to, just say so.
3) If you mention this giveaway on your blog (just a blurb, no need for a whole post) you can get another entry. Please link back to this page.
4) Leave a comment telling me a book you love!

Leave a separate comment for each entry and then I won't have to go stark crazy trying to sort it all when Abbie draws a name. I'll end this giveaway on Saturday, Feb 6 and contact the winner.

Please please leave me a way to contact you! Natasha, if you happen to come back please leave your email or blog address so I can contact you if you win.

  1. Don't enter me because I've read that one (as per your recommendation, of course), I just wanted to tell you that I like how you set it up amongst the cuteness there for that pic. So clever.

Also, didn't you know someone would be sick after a sleepover? It's only right that our children contaminate one another. I actually thought that Schyler was coming down with a stomach virus Saturday night, but it turned out to be reflux, thank goodness. I kept thinking great, I'm going to have to call Wendy and tell her they should all be puking any minute now.

  2. Sorry to hear about James. My baby copt a fever mid morning Saturday- {the germs have reached the Pac NW 'cause ya'll have been talking about your sick ones for a couple weeks now} her fever broke yesterday, but I'm reading from others that it comes back...

You can enter me in the giveaway, I'm our church's librarian, I'd add it to the collection there for many to enjoy!

  10. I happen to love to read children's literature. I always have. I especially like books meant for older kids and teens. One of my favorites is Shades of Gray. It's about a teen boy and his family during the Civil War. It would probably be too confusing for younger kids, but for older kids or teens, it's really interesting! I've loved it for years!!
