Something is happening here....

What it is ain't exactly clear...

I know, the wit, the cleverness...

This morning I awoke to snow. Not ice, but snow. Pretty fluffy white stuff which has not started melting into muddy gross wet stuff. Folks, it is strange.

Also, there were reports of an earthquake here in Alabama this morning. What?

Snow and an earthquake, all in the same day?

I think (think, being the operative word), we are on the mend. I am better, still coughing at night, but not nearly as bad. James' ear is better. And no one else has had a fever since Monday! I wish we could just hole up here until April so we can stay well. And no telling how many people we will spare from sickness from not spreading our germs.

In other riveting news, our washing machine stopped spinning Tuesday afternoon. Joy.

Well, that's all. Just a little update from the exciting world of Clark Acres.

  1. I'm glad to hear y'all are on the mend. No ice or snow here in GA, but lots of rain and cold. Being from western New York, it feels just like home! :-) I wanted to message you and let you know that I saw that you'd listed me as a winner of one of the giveaways, but I didn't receive an email from you about how to get you my contact information. (I couldn't find a way to email you, so I figured I'd post here.) My email is snowflakes2hotcakes {at} gmail {dot} com. Thanks! :-) (I'm excited about the book - can you tell? hehe)

  2. I have had a series of sinus infections since last fall. Painful congestion. It's cold here in Michigan. Really cold. I am so ready for spring! :)

  5. So glad you are all feeling better - and I have to agree...the weather is just plain weird. When Alabama and Texas are colder - and snowier - than Virginia...its weird!

  8. Glad to hear y'all are all feeling better. Hooray! :)

We all enjoyed the actual snow too. I took some photos of my kids playing in the snow yesterday. My camera's battery was dead and charging, so I used my husband's. He forgot he'd misplaced his power cord for it so who knows when I'll actually get those up. Sigh.
