A (Long) Walk on a Thanksgiving Afternoon...

All the pics are out of order and I am L.A.Z.Y this morning so I'll just do the best I can with them out of order. But rest assured, it is driving me crazy on the inside. LAZY is just winning this morning...
After our delicious lunch at my sister-in-law Carol's house we went on a walk at a local preserve. While hiking we came upon a snake of some sort. Matt just told me it is a King Snake. Brandon, Mrs. Jennifer's hubby, picked him up to show him off. I stayed at a reasonable distance as reasonable people do.

My Matt all growing up.

FavCousin and Abbie treated us to a violen concert after lunch also.
I caught this picture of Abbie and FavCousin holding hands during our family prayer. Love these girls so much...
How did I end up with this good-looking man?
Mrs. Jennifer (FavCousin's mom) and my Tyler.
Abbie and James picking pecans at Carol's house. Abbie and FavCousin dished out door prizes later and the pecans were one of the prizes. Those girls keep us entertained.
We tried to get a good pic of all the younger grandchildren, but this was about as good as it was gonna get. (Betty and Louis have grandchildren ranging from 35 to 3-how neat!)
My Abbie-girl. The freckles get me every time.

At the end of our long walk back. We got separated from the group because they decided to turn around and come back. We then had proceed and extra 200 miles (seems like it anyway) to get back to the car. I was not happy to see my family in this pic. I am happy because I was still standing. And also because I had swallowed a bug earlier and it was stuck behind my tonsil. Yep, really. And by the way, I didn't swallow it on purpose. It flew in as I was about to say something to Jennifer. I probably need to talk less don't you think? I was happy because I could finally get some water to get the bug out. Disgusting yes.

We got home around 6:30 and Mark and I fell onto the bed and slept for an hour. I'm not sure what the kids were doing. We declared ourselves as old people now. We got up, put the kids to bed, and tried to watch some TV. I then fell asleep on the couch. What is happening to us?

It was a great day with great family. We missed all of you that weren't with us-Mollie, Carrie, Joel, Katie, and Scott. Come home soon!

  3. A bug in the throat is gross. I think that would have put me over the edge. Glad you had such a nice day!
