Rambles Here and There....

~Right now the four kids are sitting in the den area with Sue the MamaBunny and her seven little bunnettes.

Abbie and James are absolutely fascinated with the whole nursing process and I am torn between what is a good normal curiosity and what is just plain odd.

~I think the kiddos are over the stomach bug. No one has thrown up since yesterday afternoon.

~We are off school this week due to Thanksgiving. I've been cleaning a little and doing laundry. Surprisingly I have not stressed over cleaning the house for company one time. Yet. I still have two days to go though.

~Someone asked on Facebook if anyone was going to go out shopping on Black Friday. I replied with a "No, I'll be home doing a whole lot of nothing." What I really meant is "You could not pay me enough to go out shopping on Black Friday and I'll just stay home with all the other normal people in the world."

Okay, you could pay me enough. Just so it didn't have to be Wal-Mart.

~I'm making apple pie, chocolate-pecan pie, and a Bananas Foster Cake for Thanksgiving at my sister-in-law's house. Cooking day tomorrow!

What are you making yummy for Thanksgiving?

  1. It's 7 bunnies!

Broccoli casserole and whipped cream (not in one dish) I'll be bringing to the fam's.

  2. I'm with you about black Friday. Wild horses couldn't drag me out of the house that day. We'll stay home, eat leftovers and decorate the house for Christmas instead.

  3. So glad all the kids are doing better. I hate when those sweet babies are sick.

  4. Love all the bunny pics! And, I don't think your little ones will end up on a psychiatrist couch because of watching them nurse. It's just preparing them for the next thing to come... goats! Now that ought to really fascinate them.

Happy Thanksgiving! Enjoy your meal with family and your perfectly normal Black Friday at home!

  5. We had a low-key Thanksgiving here, and picked up a pumpkin and a sweet potato pie at Publix instead of bothering to make them. Though my husband tried out a coconut cream pie recipe. As a matter of fact, he pretty much cooked most of the dinner himself.
