The Place Where All The Photos Go To Rest...

Alright everyone, hold on tight.  Get ready.

I actually found the memory card and the camera charger and charged the battery and got battery into the camera before the memory card was lost again.

I know!

So, in no particular order here are some pics from the past couple of weeks.

Peppers anyone?  I have more than I know what to do with.  I wish I would get brave and make some of the jalapeno stuffer things that Pioneer Woman makes.

Abbie and her dad on her birthday morning.  At the Clark house you get woken up in a violent manner and paraded around the house while Daddy sings The Happy Birthday Song.  Then we all meet in the kitchen and eat cake for breakfast.  I don't know how it all got started, buts is what we do.

MamaHen and Abbie-Girl.

The most perfect wonderful little precious kitten ever!  Ya'll, the attachment I have to this cat is very strange for me.  I mean, I like animals, but I really like this kitten.  Her name is Oreo, but she is called Scruffy around here.  She looks nothing like the little orphan kitty we brought home three months ago.  She is sassy and fun-loving and wants to make friends with the other cats around here.  They want to have nothing to do with her.  So I'll be her friend, you little sweet precious thing, you.

This is Slyvester.  He is the laziest cat this side of creation.  Really.  My mom came the other day and she had Abbie poke him a couple of times just to make sure he had not died in my den.  It is hard to tell sometimes.

All this hot weather has been good for the popsicle business here in Alabama.  We are doing our part.

Look how excited the boys are to be cleaning their room this morning!  Its too hot to be working outside so I put them to work in their room this morning.  Abbie and James have dentist appointments this afternoon and the boys are going to be here scrubbing down kitchen cabinets.  Their joy is undeniable.

Well, I was going to do lots more, but I can't get them to load quickly and and I have to give James a bath before the dentist.  He eats popsicles, gets all sticky, and then heads out to the dusty backyard.  You can imagine the scene-sort of like PigPen on Charlie Brown.

How's the heat at your house today?  Pretty hot here.  Makes me wish I had a backyard pool that I didn't have to pay for or clean or provide upkeep for or worry about a child drowning in all the time.  I'll store that in my Cleaning Fairy Department Dream Division.

  4. I LOVE the birthday tradition! We must come up with something similarly annoying and embarrassing for the sake of our children.
