My Abbie

Being our only daughter Abbie is special to to us. She is sweet, compassionate, smart, and she loves to laugh. She has this wonderful laugh that makes you laugh too. She also has the gift of gab, as Mark says. She likes to talk and she likes to include all the details of every event in what she says.  I am like that too. I say, what's the point in telling the story if you don't give all the details. Mark usually prefers the short version and the point, and then I can fill him in all the details. It's taken nearly 14 years, but we are working on a compromise. But, back to Abbie, she is also a little drama queen. (She might get a little of that from me also:)).  The other day I was standing at the sink cutting up tomatoes. Abbie was watching TV and they said the name Matthew on TV. She came and crawled up on the counter next to me and said, "I don't know why Matt gets to be so famous. I mean he gets to wear glasses, he gets to go to speech therapy, he gets to go to the doctor ALL the time, AND they said his name on TV. ITS JUST NOT FAIR!" She crossed her arms and pouted. I looked at her and told her I was sorry her life was so hard.

  1. LOL!!!! That is sooo cute!

I have never had black eyed peas - do they grow just like normal peas? And what do you do with them - freeze, dry or can? Interesting!!! I may have to look for some seeds and try them next summer!

Oh, and by the way, my list of must do's are for the whole week, not just Monday :) Phew!
