Our One True Hope

It is important to think and pray about who will vote for. This morning in Sunday School the talk turned to the election and there were good things said. As the men were talking I thought of this verse. It has actually been on my mind a lot lately, and not just about the election. I want to always put my trust in this hope, not on any one person.

"Do not put your trust in princes,
Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.
His spirit departs, he returns to his earth;
In that very day his plans perish.

Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,
Whose hope is in the Lord his God."
Psalm 146:3-5

I would encourage everyone to read all of Psalm 146. What good news for believers!
