Matt: "Really, Really, Really???"
Abbie: "I'm going to be a bigger sister?!"
Tyler: "Woooooooohooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Abbie: "Let's vote on names."
Matt: "I want to be the one to tell Granny and Grandaddy!"
Abbie: "Can she sleep in my room?"
Today we told the kids we are adopting. We went to our first meeting with the social worker and after we left the meeting we told them. They were so excited and just piled on top of Mark hugging him. And then they piled on top of me. James even got in on it by running around screaming too. It was such a precious time for us. We have been waiting for so long to tell them and it seemed strange to actually say the words. My mom was there and her face was so sweet as she watched the kid's reactions.
We have wanted this for so long and it seems strange, but very natural that it is actually happening. We don't know what God has in store, but we are going to keep walking through the doors He opens. In 12-18 months (or sooner, who knows?) we will have our new baby girl.
Oh, the joy and wonder of children!
