The Valentines Party (Banquet)

My sister threw a mean Val Party/Banquet Saturday night. We had yummy food, good talks, and games. Mark and I both won a prize and my sweetheart was the cutest one there! Thank you Jill for the fun night out.

So far today has been DELICIOSIO! James slept till 8:00 so we went to the late service and then came home and had leftovers and sandwiches for lunch. Then, James went down for his nap and Mama Hen got a Sunday nap. Love me some Sunday naps. Unfortunately, I have some neighbors who seem to have put up a shooting range in their back yard and all I have been hearing for the past several days are BAM, BAM, BAM. I mean really people, I know we live in the boondocks (sp?), but it's Sunday for crying out loud. I think Sunday naps should be required for everyone. Including crazy people who shoot guns in their backyards for 4 days in a row.

Tonight is church and then another week with my family in my little home. I have begun to appreciate my little home so much more lately. I love being home and knowing this is a safe and fun place for my children. We'll do normal things like school and Scouts, but its those normal things that are the good things. I just have to remember that (sometimes minute by minute). It's all those "normal" things that are making my children's memories and I want them to be happy good things.

  2. I have a tiny house too (not as many kids as you have to fill up your little home-not yet!). I love having a small cozy space. I also love being home. And those little things, they are what makes mommy life so sweet!

  3. Messing with a Sunday nap is a serious offense.

  5. I totally agree about the normal things being the good things. I mean, special things are fabulous, and we always look forward to going somewhere or doing something fun (especially with my hubby)!

But it seems in the normal routine is where my kids thrive and learn and grow in their character (as well as myself LOL).

  6. How about BAM BAM BAM! in the middle of the night? Yes, my neighbors like to partake in the heavy spirits, so from time to time we are awakened by our inebriated neighbor operating a firearm.
I am also learning about the little things and the wonder that comes along with a good routine! Love it love it love it! It's my mission field!
