Hotness

Okay, it is hot here. I have to get it out of my system. Stinkin hot. And humid. Last night Mark and I were sitting on the swing about 7:30 PM and it was still so hot and humid we were melting. I went out in the afternoon to pick some peas and tomatoes and thought I was going to just wither away. Today will not be any better. I know its all part of living here in the South. But can I just tell you I love me some air conditioning.

  1. It's almost enough for me to want to stay at work 5 because it's so hot when I get in my car. Almost, but not enough.

  2. I feel your pain. It's usuallly pretty hot and humid here in Indiana too, but this July has been the coolest in DECADES! I've been enjoying it soooooo much. It's about to end though. Gonna be in the 90's and humid the rest of the week.

I'll think of you when I can't keep my glasses on my face, and I'm still wet after showering and drying off! It sure makes the garden grow though...did you get a red tomato yet!?

  3. Jayme, I got one market basket full of red tomatoes yesterday. Maybe they have decided to obey and do right.

  4. It's been horrible here too, although we don't have your humidity. And we do have some random low that's coming in tonight and is supposed to give us 80 degree temps tomorrow. I'll enjoy it for you, okay?

  5. ps. running my a/c is a joke. it's an old unit and the furnace closet upstairs clangs like nothin' else. It sounds like someone is hiding in there banging a tin can. Almost funny, but mostly annoying...

  6. The person who invented A/C definitely doesn't get enough credit.

  9. Amen! It was so hot and nasty yesterday that I went through 3 shirts, gross. And all I did was go to the library and two grocery stores and do some light cleaning. I'm over summer and ready for Fall too bad we'll have to wait for October to even bring out the pants and long sleeves (if we're lucky).
