My mommyhood has been filled with words and phrases I never knew I would say. Oh boy, do I have some dillies like "You cannot make your brother a monkey-slave." and "You may not tie up your two year old brother and just leave him there", or "You may not sleep in the coop with the chickens".
But this morning I caught myself saying, "James Daniel, come and get the toilet seat off the couch."
And then it hit me what I just said.
He had pulled the toilet seat off the toilet, stuck it on the couch, and had been sitting on it watching TV. Now why in the world he won't sit on the toilet seat to use the bathroom I DON'T KNOW.
That is hysterical!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are writing these things down...I have recorded many of these kinds of statements of
my grandchildren.....they are teenagers now and they love...love...reading things they said when they were little...
Really??? What would make him do that?
ReplyDeleteI have a new rule that I cannot read your blog while drinking something. Between this and the bra thing, I think I'm going to be sick from laughing too much :)

I seriously don't know how you continually have the most hilarious things happen to you. That's the funniest thing I've heard all week. Thanks for the pick-me-up.
ReplyDeleteThis just made me laugh SO HARD!!!
ReplyDeleteHeeee heeeeeeeeeee :)
ReplyDeleteWell, obviously he doesn't sit on the toilet because there is no t.v. in there...
ReplyDeleteCan honestly say I never said that one....and how does one get the toilet seat off the toilet??
ReplyDeleteJennifer, he just jerked it off. It was very very very old anyway and he just decided to take it off.
ReplyDeleteThat's a total man for you. Just put him a TV in the bathroom, and he'll be in heaven!!
ReplyDeleteThat is hilarious! Where's the picture?!?
ReplyDeleteI agree with everyone else, try the TV in the bathroom :)
And again....all I have to say is....there is NEVER A DULL MOMENT IN YOUR HOUSE!
