In Which My Heart Bursts Open With Mommy Love

Last night James and I were drawing on the Magnadoodle Etch-A-Sketch thingy. We were drawing each other's faces, we would "talk" to the face and then "wipe" it away, and say, "Bye-bye, see you later."

I was drawing his face and he would give me directions about where to put the eyes, nose, and so forth. When I was done he looked at it and said, "Now, give me some sprinkles."

He meant freckles. And I thought my heart was going to burst open. And I don't think I will ever be able to look at his little freckles (sparse as they are right now) the same again. They will always be sprinkles in my mind.

  5. Very cute! You can remind him of this when he's a teenager. But it'll always bring you back to this moment! Enjoy your weekend!

  9. Sprinkles! I love it! I have lots of "sprinkles" and when I was a little girl our neighbor told me they were "angel kisses." I thought I was so special, kissed by angels.
Of course James would have sprinkles! He's as sweet as ice cream or cupcakes, isn't he? =)
