Pottery Going-Ons

A couple of weeks ago I got to spend the day with 11 other Alabama Bloggers and can I say, "IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!" I have always thought it would be neat to get to make something on the pottery wheel, but I have to tell you~I don't like getting my hands all sticky and yucky. It was one of those things that would be fun, but I had never made an effort to go and do it. Well, Rachel, our fearless AL Blogger leader, arranged for us all to get the chance and I jumped on it.

See these rows and rows of pottery pieces? Tena makes dishes for some very famous restaurants in the US. I can't think of any of them for the life of me right now. Can some of you AL Bloggers help me? But they are famous and we were very impressed.

We went to the Earthborn Pottery Studio in Leeds, AL where the sweetest most patient lady on the face of the earth, Tena, taught us how to do the basics. We got to spend the day together laughing and learning and then laughing some more. These ladies were awesome in person and I am so glad I got to meet them.

This is my sister Jill telling me what I should be doing with my pottery piece. Sheesh, and she says I'm the bossy one.

Here is ole MamaHen asking for help for the 578th time.

Tena offers classes at her studio. She has six-week classes which includes unlimited studio practice time and parties with a minimum of six people. If you like classes like Sips and Strokes you would probably love an Earthborn Pottery Party.

Here are the links for the ladies who were there also~~~
