Today was the day that Matt's latest animal dream came true. He got his rabbit. He is on cloud nine (more like a 12), and the poor rabbit must be in shock as to what has happened to him.

Tyler and I went to the local feed store to buy our plants for the garden. The other kiddos stayed with Granny. We saw the rabbits in the feed store, found out they were a good price, and called Matt. He was super-excited, so much so he could hardly get his words out. Mark and Matt have been working on the rabbit hutch for awhile and all that was left was to get the rabbit. Today was the day.

I left the feed store, drove Tyler and the plants home, picked up Matt and headed back to the feed store. He was in love and I have to admit George is pretty cute. So now Matt has Pearl the chicken, Whiskers, the hamster, and George the rabbit. And we will order our new chicks this weekend!!!! Woo-Hoo! Fresh eggs in a couple of months and chickens galore. I love my chickens and can't wait till get our new ones.

PS. On the way to the feed store Matt says to me, "I wish it was a Saturday so Dad could be the one to take me to the feed store."
Me: "Well, I'm not so bad am I?" (after all, I was the one taking him BACK to the store)
Matt: "No, but Dad knows stuff."
