You know how people will say "Hold On, Fridays Coming"? Well, I need a day to come, but I don't know when in the world it will be? We have so much going on right now, good things, bad things, just normal everyday life things-and then add these SATS to it-its just too much. Really, all of us are feeling the stress of going going going. Today is the last day for the SATS-yeah! and then tomorrow is Bible Study. I will just be honest with you, I am just wanting to skip Bible Study and stay home, but we have missed the last two weeks and the kids spring program is coming up. They need to practice. And my house-oh.my.word. Let's don't even go there. And we haven't ate a real decent meal since last week. And company is coming tomorrow. Not really to see us per see, but to see my in-laws who live right next door, and I would like for the floor not to stick to their feet when they come in. And Abbie's choir program is Sunday night which means she has dress rehearsal for 5 hours Saturday. Now why would an 8 year old's choir program require a five hour dress rehearsal? And Scouts and AHG and this little thing called school that is slaying me right now. This is the first year I have really felt completely and totally overwhelmed by homeschooling and the whole "Am I doing the right thing?" Not by homeschooling, I KNOW that is the right thing for our family, its the "How do I know how to teach these three totally different children all they need to know" overwhelmed. And then James, my precious three year old who has decided that this week is the week to test all my mommy powers. By the way, someone asked me if James (age 3) was reading yet? I was like, "Are you for real?" And I have a hubby somewhere around here who I would like to see and talk with.
Sorry, just had to rant a minute. I know this too will pass. But, I'll just say it, I don't want it to pass, I just want it to be over with. And a little sleep would be nice also.

Honey - anybody who is coming to see your in-laws could care less if your house is clean.
ReplyDeleteMollie, Hugh and Trish are coming for the weekend. I would just like for them to have a place to sit if they happen to come down. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are a busy girl...but the kitchen floor sticking to your feet cracked me up....that is always the sign for me to mop the kitchen floor
ReplyDeleteI am LOVIN' that someone asked if James was reading! You have got to fill me in on that! So funny!
ReplyDeleteI'll bring my Shark for your kitchen...
Oh Honey, you are having a day (week, month, year)Go close yourself off in the bathroom, take a long bubblebath and breathe in deeply. Why are lives so complicated anymore, I'm feeling overwelmed too!
ReplyDeleteHugh and Trish can drag in a lawn chair if they need to. Seriously.
ReplyDeleteLove you, Sis.
I just told hubs last night, i can't wait til school is over. I'm ready for a lazy summer!
ReplyDeleteI love how you make the rest of us all seem so normal....at least I know I'm not the only one. Some folks have goats so they don't have to mow - I have dogs to at least keep the big pieces off the floor!!
ReplyDeleteOh girl, just tell them all that your house is being fumigated and they'll need to come back another time.
ReplyDeleteJames - reading - what?
I am so sorry- I'm having one of those weeks with my 3 year old too. And so is another one of my friends - maybe the pollen affects 3 year olds in a "special" way. I understand your feelings and I'll say a special prayer for you!!
ReplyDeleteIt will all get done and it will all be fine and at some point you'll be able to take a deep breath and relax!!
Wow, sounds like you definitely have a lot on your plate right now! Hope things slow down for you pretty soon!
