Two-Bite Apple Pies
I made these two-bite apple pies for Rebekah's bake sale this past Saturday. I didn't get to taste any out of this batch, but I heard they were pretty good! They sold out anyway. I thought I would post the recipe in case you might want to make some too!
2 refrigerated pie crusts
apple pie filling (mine was some I made last year and canned, but you can buy it at the store. Just add some cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar to jazz it up)
butter at room temp
Lay out your pie crusts and cut out some cute shapes. Put about 1 tsp of the apple pie filling in the middle of the cut-out. Layer another cut-out on top. Crinkle the edges with a fork Then brush the top with the butter and sprinkle with a cinnamon-sugar mix. Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the pie crust is brown. Yummy!
So easy and if you have a 9 year old daughter to cut out the shapes, it doesn't take too long!

ReplyDeleteYUM! Those remind me of the fried apple pies that my Mom made when we were little... good memories!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great alternative to those fried apple pies my MIL used to make! These look really good--and yet without the artery-clogging capabilities of all those deep-fried pies. :) Oh, dear, now I'm really craving something baked . . . ;)
ReplyDeleteThose look amazing, going to have to try them out soon!
ReplyDeleteThey were fabulous and a real hit with the festival go-ers! :)
ReplyDeleteI made these with my son on Tuesday. They were a huge hit! I'm making 2 more batches this weekend for a church social. Thanks for the great recipe!!!
