Dedicated to Papa Wright...

Be still my heart.

Abbie just came to me and told me she needed a planner. To go in her purse. And my heart started beating wildly because could this mean that this daughter (that I know is mine cause she looks a lot like me) could actually have a trait of mine? Could it be that after all these years we could be alike in some way? That we might have a common ground?

Cause where I'm more reserved, she's more outgoing? (of which I am very happy about)
Where I am of the "more modest and conservative the better in dress" she is of the "the more flamboyant and colorful the better"
Where I think a bed should be made up when you get out of it, she has the "why make it up when you are going to get back into it?" mentality.
And the list goes on and on and on.

But she has requested a planner. To.go.in.her.purse!

You can bet I will be getting myself to Target to get her one from the Dollar bin very soon.

  2. LOL! Hopefully she will make use of it and not leave it in her purse, under her bed, or lose it in the car. :)

  3. I wish that I had passed organization on to my children, but that would mean that I was organized.

    I'm not.

My kids get planners from school but never use them :(

  4. I personally agree with her on the whole bed-making thing. Really, who's going to see it? And it's easier to get in if it's still folded down...
Efficiency trumps meaningless rote chores any day, don't you think?
