Dear (Older) Rebekah....

Happy Birthday Sweet Friend!

I wish there was someway I could write down all the funny things that have happened to us over the years. And I wish there was someway to contain the tears of laughter and the sound of our laughter so I could replay it over and over on the hard days.

And dear blog friends, I soooo wish there was some way I could properly document my favorite Rebekah story for you. But it has only been 16 years and it is still too painful to talk of. We only whisper in hushed tones about it every once in a while. One day, when we are finally able to live close to each other (we plan on having nursing home rooms right by each other), we will be able to laugh about it. Without our hubbies knowing we are laughing. Cause I don't think they will ever think it is funny.

But, if you are curious you can know it involves:

~a pop-up camper parked across the street from a beach
~a tropical depression at said beach
~the forgetting of "falling back" on our watches the night before something very important
~some tears
~okay, a lot of tears

I love you Rebekah and thank you for putting up with me and my nonsense!

  1. We should all move to Indiana where there are no time changes... then no one would ever be hurt by a casual mistake

Did you know that I have 4 friends today who have birthdays (2 on the Homeschool Crew, another homeschool mom and a friend at church), plus one homeschool friend's daughter's birthday (and mine)! :)

  4. I love you, Wendy! You are awesome!!!! Yes, there are many stories. And sometimes when they are happening they don't seem like they will ever be a "story," lol, but they almost always do! :)
