Just Click On Over

My very bestest friend in the whole world, Rebekah, is having her very first blog giveaway today. She has a new look and she wants to celebrate! She has some great prizes and it will be worth your time to go and enter.

Do you know why Rebekah is my best friend in the whole world?

She knows too much about me. Really. Just as I would hate to ever have to date again, I would hate to have to start the whole best friend over again. She is just what I want and need in a friend and I know I will never be able to find anyone to measure up.

We have been friends since my junior year in college, but it was after we were both married that we became close. We have never lived within 30 minutes of each other (and its usually about 1-2 hours away), but we make sure we have the right long-distance so we can always talk. We have ten children between us and we are determined to make them best friends as well. :). So we see each other at least once a month and sometimes more.

We used to be able to take little weekend mom-getaways together, but we haven't done that in awhile. I think our husbands are glad. We usually get into some kind of trouble wherever we go. And weather events seem to follow us around. She loves warm brownies as much as I do and we have a brownie secret that we will take to the grave. :)

We laugh together, we cry together. Many times we laugh until we cry. We pray together. She encourages me from the Word like no one else. Now this girl knows her some Bible. She is open and honest about her own struggles with sin, but she always points you back to Christ and His Word. She is a fount of information about child-raising and homemaking. If you have a homeschooling question she is the one to ask. She is a wonderful model of a woman loving her husband, children, and keeping her home.

Now, you know all these wonderful things about her, so go check out her blog. But you cannot have her as a best friend. She is Mine, All Mine. (She really does know too much).

  1. She's not kidding people.
I wanted to call Rebekah once to ask a question and my dear Aunt Mama Hen refused to give me the correct phone number. She would allow no chance that I would try to steal her BFF. True story.

  7. It's hard to have a special friend without being special yourself. Then again, maybe you're complimenting her because you like her taste in friends ;-).
